As ESL coordinator and instructor at MCAE, Rennae wears many hats. When she is not teaching classes and working with volunteer tutors, Rennae promotes the agency’s ESL program, meets and assesses new students, and partners with Slippery Rock University to provide internship and practicum opportunities for students in SRU’s TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) program, from which Rennae holds a master's degree.

Rennae enjoys teaching English to her students and learns so much from them in return. Her program continues to grow and, with help from our volunteers and instructors, the agency is prepared to accommodate our ever-increasing ESL population.

Rennae’s goal is to help her students to become more involved in the community and to strengthen their confidence when speaking English. Before joining MCAEC in 2019, Rennae also earned a master's degree in English.
